preparation time 15 min
Ingredients for 6 people
minced beef 500 gr, pork sausage 150 gr, stale bread 150 g, Parmigiano cheese 120 gr, eggs 2, nutmeg right amount, breadcrumbs 4 spoons, mortadella 500 gr, parsley, pepper, salt right amount, oil for frying right amount, sauce al basilico 1 jar
Immerse the stale bread in a bowl containing water. In another bowl, put the minced beef together with the sausage (without its skin) and then break everything up using your hands: at this point, add the eggs, the bread and the grated cheese. In order to flavor your meat balls, you can add mortadella, a drizzle of nutmeg, minced parsley, salt and pepper. Knead all the ingredients using your hands: you must obtain a uniform mixture. Now shape some balls with a diameter of 4 cm; when they will be all ready, fry them in a pan containing plentiful oil for frying. Once you fried the balls, you should lay them on some blotting paper in order to remove the oil in excess. After having fried all the balls, pour the ITALIANAVERA sauce al basilico in a pot, immerse the balls in it and finally put the lid on. Let the balls flavour for 10 minutes, until they will have absorbed part of the sauce. Now you can serve your meat balls with ITALIANAVERA sauce. Enjoy your meal. Buon appetito!!!
plan B
Grease a baking pan and put the meat balls in it. Put the pan in the oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes (the cooking time depends on the dimension of the balls). Wait until the balls will have formed a crust, and then put them in the pot with Italianavera sauce.
